Saint Francis Hospital-Memphis names Chris Cosby new CEO
Chris Cosby has been named chief executive officer of Saint Francis Hospital-Memphis and market chief executive officer for Tenet Healthcare’s Memphis market, the hospital announced Monday.
Cosby already served as CEO of Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett and Memphis market chief operating officer and will continue those roles.
He previously served as CEO of Poinciana Medical Center in Orlando, Florida, for five years where he developed or expanded hospital service lines and oversaw a $22 million emergency room expansion, Saint Francis said.
Jeffrey M. Welch, Group CEO of Tenet Health’s Mid-South Market, said Cosby was a perfect choice for the new position.
“He brings the perfect blend of leadership skills, experience and strategic thinking to immediately become an asset in helping the Memphis market move forward," Welch said in a statement.
Cosby holds a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration and an MBA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Health Administration from Auburn University.
Sally Deitch previously served as CEO of Saint Francis Hospital-Memphis. She assumed the role in October 2019 and stepped down in July.
